Final Reminder Call for Projects Now Open through July 19; Local Planning Committee Meeting #3 on July 25

In January 2024, Kings Park was announced the winner of $10 million in Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) funding. The DRI works to transform downtown neighborhoods into vibrant communities. There are many ways you can be actively involved in your community’s DRI process including upcoming community meetings.

The DRI Open Call for Projects is now active and available online at www.kingsparkdri.com/projects We are seeking submissions from the public for potential projects to be a part of the Kings Park DRI Strategic Investment Plan. We will be accepting project proposals through Friday, July 19, 2024 at 5pm. Please consult the dates listed below for more information. Feel free to calendar these dates to stay up to date and informed. 

 

DRI Open Call for Projects - Now Accepting Project Applications - due by Friday, July 19, 2024 @ 5PM
• The DRI Local Planning Committee (LPC) is seeking project proposals from the public for potential projects to be a part of the Kings Park DRI Strategic Investment Plan.
• If you have a project you would like to see considered, an “Open Call for Projects” submission form is available on the DRI website at: www.kingsparkdri.com/projects
• If you would like to be updated on the form instructions and process, email us at KingsParkDRI@gmail.com

Local Planning Committee Meeting #3 - on Thurs. July 25, 2024 @ 6PM
• Kings Park High School, Room 101, 200 Rte 25A, Kings Park, NY 11754
• At the Local Planning Committee (LPC) Meeting #3, the LPC will provide input on the DRI vision, goals, and potential projects.
•  Local Planning Committee (LPC) meetings are working group sessions for committee members. While these meetings are open to the public, they are not intended to be interactive public workshops.

Local Planning Committee Meeting #4 - on Thurs. August 22, 2024 @ 6PM

• Kings Park High School, Room 101, 200 Rte 25A, Kings Park, NY 11754

• At the Local Planning Committee (LPC) Meeting #4, the LPC will provide input on the DRI potential projects.

•  Local Planning Committee (LPC) meetings are working group sessions for committee members. While these meetings are open to the public, they are not intended to be interactive public workshops.
